| Experience Mr. Savage’s practice encompasses all aspects of complex commercial real estate transactions. With over twenty years of experience, he has represented a diverse clientele including institutional lenders, owners, developers, real estate advisors, asset managers, landlords and tenants. He has assisted them in the acquisition, sale, financing, development, management, leasing and operation of various types of real estate, including raw land, office, retail, industrial, multi-family and hotel properties. Mr. Savage began his legal career in the midst of the savings and loan crisis of the late 80’s and early 90’s, through which he gained extensive experience with distressed real estate loans, foreclosure of Texas real estate properties and sale of REO properties. During this time period he also represented clients in the acquisition of large performing and non-performing loan portfolios from the Resolution Trust Corporation and the FDIC. Mr. Savage’s broad experience involves a variety of projects, from facilitating the acquisition and financing of a 1600-unit apartment project to representing a senior housing client regarding development and management agreements to assisting an oil and gas client with transactions regarding a gas gathering system and its related facilities. He routinely advises and represents lenders and real estate developers regarding acquisition, development, construction and financing of commercial property throughout Texas and across the nation.
