Experience

Ms. Balch practices in the areas of commercial litigation, professional liability, and all aspects of post-judgment and appellate filings. Jenifer provides assistance to professionals in many industries. Ms. Balch is able to assist clients with efficiency and organizational experience with complex litigation, high volume discovery and document management. Jenifer’s experience includes assisting clients with matters involving the sale of goods, contract negotiations and disputes, and products liability.  She also assists insurance agents and financial planners with litigation concerning all aspects of their professions.    

Prior to joining Curran Tomko Tarski, Jenifer gained litigation experience representing clients with Gwinn & Roby. Immediately following graduation from law school Jenifer served as briefing attorney for the Honorable Justice Martin Richter at the Fifth District of Texas Court of Appeals. During her time with the Court, she developed in depth experience with appeals and appellate issues. She continues to devote a portion of her practice to appellate matters, including, drafting of post-trial motions and filings, construction of appellate briefs, and management of original proceeding such as writs of mandamus. In representing her clients, Jenifer also brings a unique insight as a previous small business owner. 

In her spare time, Jenifer serves as the President of the Board of Directors for Rover Dramawerks, a non-profit theatre group located in Plano, Texas.  Additionally, she serves on the Mentoring and Community Involvement Committees of the Young Professionals of Plano.
